Our Team

Ernie Peralta is the president of Peralta Woodworks, Inc. He started the company with his wife, Grace, in 2009. Ernie started working on shop floors at the young age of 19 and has been in the woodworking industry for more than 20 years. Over the course of those 20 years, he has held positions as shop foreman, has worked in engineering, and now serves as the head of his own company. His current responsibilities include quality control, oversight of every project, constant communication with clients, and more. Ernie received an associate’s degree in business from Penn State University and completed the drafting program to go on to earn a degree from Midlands Technical College. He also serves as an Ambassador for the Lexington Medical Center Foundation.

Grace Kalil-Peralta serves as the vice president of Peralta Woodworks, Inc. and has been in the woodworking industry for 10 years. She worked together with Ernie to start the company and since then, Grace has been in charge of the financial side of the company. She has worked in the financial and accounting industries for more than 20 years, with experience in presenting on international financial issues in several countries (such as Brazil and Morocco), and has acted as a member of the faculty for the University of Berkeley in California and the University of Phoenix. Aside from working at PWI, Grace also owns and manages a transportation consulting business.

Wayne Peake serves as the engineering manager and has over 30 years experience in the engineering and woodworking industries. He has been with Peralta Woodworks, Inc. since 2011 and has been instrumental to the company ever since. Wayne started on the shop floor and has knowledge from his first hand experience that translates into how he works and operates today. He worked in the veneer area for seven years in manufacturing custom veneers where he developed a veneer department, and worked on architectural grading and panel products (including pressing). He is excellent with complex projects that PWI completes for customers. 

James “Jet” Thomas is the shop foreman at PWI. He is in charge of insuring that every project is built on time and that each project achieves its respective expected quality. Jet has worked for his family’s woodworking business since the age of 16 and has received years of experience as a direct result of that. Jet has been with Peralta Woodworks, Inc. since 2012.

Brent Oliver is our Installations Manager at Peralta Woodworks, Inc. Brent has been with PWI over 10 years and has over 15 years of experience in the woodworking industry. Brent is currently responsible for overseeing the installation of PWI’s most challenging and complex projects. Since starting at the company in 2013, Brent has become responsible for major installation projects, job scheduling, and purchasing.
